Clinical Associate Professor Robert M Kaplan is a forensic psychiatrist, historian and writer . He has positions at the University of NSW, Western Sydney University and Wollongong University. He writes on history of psychiatry, medical history, crime, genocide and biography. His two latest books are The King who Strangled his Psychiatrist and Other Dark Tales and Mary Barkas: A Life Unfulfilled (both in press). He gives regular talks on forensic, psychiatric and historical topics.

Biography:
Jessie is a lecturer in the Postgraduate and Masters of Medical Sonography programs and researcher at the University of South Australia. She has served as the tutor and chief sonographer at multiple private and public practices across Australia. Jessie has a keen interest in research and completed her PhD in ultrasound measurements of the liver in 2016, she continues to work in this field. Jessie is also researching in the areas of ultrasound safety, transvaginal sonography, and reducing the incidence of thrombosis as a result of PICC vein insertions and more recently on the impact of COVID-19 on Australasian sonographers. Jessie is the current chairperson for the Australian Sonographers Association fellowship panel and Associate Editor in Chief of the journal ‘Sonography’. In 2014, Jessie was awarded one of Australian Sonography’s highest honours, the Pru Pratten Memorial Award for her service to ultrasound, teaching and research.

Dr Barbara Ignatiuk (maiden Tokajuk), MD, PhD, graduated from the University of Padua, Italy. Since 2010, she has been the Head of the Electrophysiology and Electrostimulation Laboratory at the United Hospitals Padua South. In 2020 she completed an Executive MSc in Health Economics, Outcomes and Management in Cardiovascular Sciences at the London School of Economics, organized in collaboration between the European Society of Cardiology and LSE. In September 2021, she moved to the Alto Vicentino Hospital, Santorso, Italy, to collaborate in setting up a new EP unit. She published several articles in the field of arrhythmias. During the pandemic, her hospital became a Covid-only facility.

Dr Beth Engelbrecht is the Emeritus Head of Health of the Western Cape Health Department, an Honorary Associate Professor of UCT School of Public Health, and Faculty member for the Institute of Health Improvement (IHI). She obtained her MBChB, MFam Med, Diplomas in Community Medicine and Health Administration at the Free State University. She served for 30 years as a senior health system leader in the Free State and Western Cape Provinces. She concluded her career as the first female Head of Health in the Western Cape and achieved the first clean audit for any health department across the country. She was also awarded the best HOD across all provincial departments in 2020.
She has a keen interest in leadership, governance and stewardship and plays a role in the Oliver Tambo leadership program. She recognized a learning organizational culture as a key transformative lever. She has authored several articles and chapters.
